Brutal Action

Focus on combos, weapon options, destruction and dismemberment to highlight that this game is re-playable and fun.

For the Fans

As huge fans of The Walking Dead ourselves, we wanted to pepper in as many powerful scenes as possible that both hint at memorable moments from the series and delight newcomers to the franchise.

It's Official

This is the official VR game of AMC's The Walking Dead created by AMC's writers and staff.

The Script

My team at Evolve PR created a custom script which we worked on with The Walking Dead's Norman Reedus to produce a custom voice over for this spot. As this all happened during COVID-19, Norman wasn't able to get into a studio to record his lines so Survios worked with him to create a studio within his own home in which we could direct him to record the lines we needed.

The Cinematic

We wanted to feature the iconic hallway from TWD season 1, not only because it has become a meme, but also because we wanted to offer longterm fans of the series a little something extra. As we were working with the show's creators, we got excited about revisiting this location so many years later in the show's timeline and re-imagining what it might look like now, taken over by nature. We worked with Jon Finger to create the scene in 3D and then fly a camera through the environment. We then placed our call-to-action on the door, in the classic meme format, and switched the text out after the launch. This led to a ton of positive engagement with the show's fans.
