What the client wanted

The Blackout Club is a first-person, co-op horror game centered around a group of teenage friends investigating a monstrous secret beneath the skin of their small town. Question Games came to us to produce a strong, narrative-focused trailer that would introduce viewers to the strange town of Redacre, as well as highlight the co-op aspect of the game—a feature that they had struggled to showcase previously.

What we did

Intrigued by the game's premise, we wrote a custom narrative for this trailer that involved a group of friends devising a “Stranger Things” style plan to rescue their friends, but ending in a disastrous twist. To achieve this, we worked directly in Unreal Engine to create custom cinematics in sequencer, then tied it all together with some great voice acting and game play capture.

What people said
The team's ability to learn our toolset and pipeline was SUPER HELPFUL to us. They were able to use our tools to generate new footage using in-game assets much faster and at a higher quality than the old method of just playing the game and grabbing clips. Saved everyone a lot of time and generated a much better result.
